1. Best Chair
    #1

    Vitra Physix

Physix looks less like a corporate throne and more like a clear engineering decision. It has movement, support and a pleasingly light frame, which makes the desk feel less like a trap and more like a place to stay awhile. Alberto Meda’s design has the good sense to disappear from the room visually while still doing the difficult ergonomic work under the sitter.

  2. #2

    Herman Miller Aeron

The Aeron is almost too familiar, but familiarity is not the same as failure. It remains one of the few task chairs that can survive long days, different bodies and years of use without pretending to be lounge furniture. The mesh, adjustability and serviceability still make sense. Its best quality is not beauty, exactly, but a stubborn competence that many prettier chairs never approach.

  3. #3

    HÅG Capisco

The Capisco is the horse-saddle chair for people who fidget, perch, turn and refuse to sit like a stock photograph. It makes movement part of the workday rather than evidence of poor discipline. At a standing desk or a higher work table it is especially good, encouraging the body to change positions rather than settle into the slow collapse that office chairs often enable.
